GrowDVM BookMyVet · Last updated 9 October 2026
GrowDVM BookMyVet is online booking for veterinary clinics. It has two parts: a booking form on the clinic's website, used by pet owners, and a Chrome extension used by the clinic's front desk. GrowDVM runs it on behalf of each clinic. This policy explains what each part collects, why, and how long it's kept.
The Chrome extension (clinic staff)
- It works only on the clinic's appointment calendar in ezyVet (
*.ezyvet.com) or IDEXX Neo (*.idexxneo.com), and reads it only as it is shown on screen. It does nothing on any other website and doesn't read browsing history. - From the calendar it sends GrowDVM only which times are booked or blocked, and in which calendar column (vet or staff name), for the days on screen. That is enough to work out the free times the clinic's website can offer.
- It does not read or send client or pet names, contact details, notes, medical records, invoices or any other record, and it never changes anything in the calendar.
- It also tells GrowDVM whether the calendar is open, the extension's version, and any settings the clinic changes in it.
- It receives the clinic's booking requests from its website and shows them to the front desk, with a notification and a chime, so they can book them in the calendar.
- On the computer it keeps, in Chrome's storage for the extension: the clinic's connection code, its settings, the current requests and calendar status, and the front desk's answers to requests. Removing the extension, or connecting it to a different clinic, deletes them.
The booking form (pet owners)
- When you request an appointment we collect what you enter: your name, phone number, email address (optional), your pet's name and type, the reason for the visit, any notes, whether you're a new client, and the time and vet you chose.
- It is used only to pass your request to the clinic: it appears in the clinic's front-desk extension and is emailed to the clinic. The clinic then contacts you to confirm.
- To stop spam we keep a salted, one-way hash of your IP address (never the address itself) to limit how many requests can be sent, and the clinic may use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly check that you're a person.
Who handles the data
GrowDVM uses these services to run BookMyVet: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (sending request emails to the clinic) and, if the clinic turns it on, Cloudflare Turnstile (spam check). We don't sell or rent data, don't use it for advertising, don't use it to assess credit, and there are no analytics or tracking in the extension or the booking form.
How long we keep it
- Calendar readings: deleted after 2 days.
- Booking requests: kept while waiting for the clinic, then deleted 30 days after the clinic has answered them.
- Request emails are kept in the clinic's own inbox, under the clinic's control.
Your choices
Your appointment is with the clinic, which decides how your details are used for your pet's care. To see, correct or delete a request you sent, contact the clinic or GrowDVM. Clinics can pause online booking at any time from the extension.
